Phillip (Phil) W. Pennington, Sr.
Phil has been involved with the Bowers Fire Company for 26 years. He started out as a Junior Member and has moved up through the offices becoming Chief for the first time in 2005. Through the years he has held the positions of Chief, Deputy Chief, Assistant Chief, Rescue Captain, Lieutenant, Chief Engineer, and Assistant Chief Engineer. On the Administrative side he has held the positions of Financial Secretary and Assistant Secretary. He also became a Life Member in 2002. Over the years he has been awarded Junior Firefighter of the year and the John H. Williams Award. Phil currently holds the position of 2nd Vice-President for the Kent County Chiefs Association and was Treasurer for 2 years as well.
