Today, 40-15, Willie Trowbridge traveled to Delaware County, PA to attend the retirement services of Life Member Ron Vanaman from the Delaware County 911 dispatch center. Ron began working there in May, 2004 and served 15 years 1 month as a 911 call taker and CADing calls for Police, Fire and EMS. Ron was described by his employer as a voice of reason. His day started with being picked up from his home in the Delaware County mobile command unit and was escorted to work by the Rocky Run, Media, and Leedom fire departments. After arriving at work, memories were reflected on and a luncheon was held in his honor. It was a distinct honor to have gotten to attend this ceremony.
