On Sunday, August 2, 2015, Bowers Fire Company was dispatched to an automatic fire alarm on Sycamore Drive in High Point Park. The call was quickly upgraded to a working mobile home fire. When the call was upgraded units from Stations 49, 50, 54, and 55 were also dispatched. Command 40 and Engine 40 arrived on scene to find heavy fire on the B C corners with extension into a shed that was close to the structure. Engine 40's crew deployed a 1 3/4 line to the rear of the structure on the B side. 55-4's crew grabbed a second line and entered the structure through the front door. Tanker 49 supplied 55 and 40's engines with water. Tanker 49's crew then laddered the structure and cut a ventilation hole in the front of the structure. Other units on scene were Tanker 40, Rescue 49, Rescue 40, Engine 49-2, and Brush 40. Crews quickly had the scene under control. This fire is currently being investigated by the State Fire Marshall's Office.
